This is my 2006 Boston Whaler 305 Conquest with twin 250hp Verado Outboards. We run offshore to various wrecks near my house in Summerland Key Florida. This Fish is a "Greater Amberjack" and weighs in around 50 pounds or so. I have caught both bigger and smaller ones, this one is above average size for me. I caught this one while jigging in 400+ feet of water.

Today we caught 3 Blackfin Tuna, and taped 2 Greater Amberjack as well. They are also know affectionately as "FOOTBALLS" because of there shape. They can reach 50 pounds, but 10 pounders are common.

This shows my 32 Pound Yellowfin Grouper, that was the biggest grouper of the trip.
After a hard days fishing, to quench a thirst generated by hauling in GIANT FISH, IN 80+ DEGREE WEATHER INN DECEMBER, I MUST SPEND 20 MINUTES (MINIMUM) in my spa. My thoughts go out to all you Northern Folk battling ice storms, and shoveling your driveways. I am there in spirit (NOT)...then I woke up. (GRIN)
SUMMERLAND KEY FLORIDA KEYS BOAT PARADE 12-20-2008. I missed most of the boats, I will keep my camera ready. I expect they will be back having more fun!
